Climate Ambassadors' Take Over Day
GMT
To celebrate Kids in Museums Take Over Day National Museums Scotland have invited S2 pupils from Castlebrae Community High School to the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh.
Since November 2020, pupils from Castlebrae have been helping us to develop three short films looking at the climate emergency and how museums can help tell that story. For Take Over Day these pupils and their classmates will attend a screening of their films and have the opportunity to meet the filmmakers who brought their ideas to life. The pupils will then be encouraged to explore the National Museum of Scotland and discuss with members of senior leadership team about steps they believe our museums can take to better convey and act on the climate emergency.
Highlights of the day will be shared via the National Museums Scotland Learning and Engagement Twitter page (@NMSEngage) during Take Over Day on 12 November. You can view the films at https://www.nms.ac.uk/climatefilms
This activity is supported by Museums Galleries Scotland Climate Beacons Ideas Fund.
