Climate Change Activism: Protest Posters Workshop for Ages 16+
GMT
When COP26 comes to a close in Glasgow on Friday 12th November the fight for taking action about climate change must continue! At these young adults workshops we’ll talk about how activism work and the power of protest have the power to create positive change! You will make your own climate chnage protest posters and banners to take home or display at the Scottish Maritime Musuem. We’ll be joined by artist and activist Marie-Claire Lacey who will be sharing her experiences of protesting and the links to her own art. Maire Claire Lacey is a multimedia artist and Sculpture and Environmental Art graduate of the Glasgow School of Art.
“Producing art that speaks beyond myself, involves engaging with society, and with the very oppressive structures I’m trying to resist.”
All materials provided. Free entry to the Museum is included with your workshop ticket.
