This global community project which textile panels celebrate the people and places those creating the works love whilst raising awareness of the environmental issues endangering them.
Loving Earth Project Textile Panel Workshops
These workshops are for all ages and abilities but children must be accompanied by an adult. In these led sessions you will get as much guidance as you need to start your on textile project. All levels of experience welcome from beginners to expert crafters. Materials will be provided, book you place at the link above, the price as your entry into the Museum. The workshops last 2 hours so you can start you panel and talk to the other crafters and then take you panel away with you to finish off at home!
Your panel can express climate change issues or what you love about the planet and nature – anything you love about planet Earth. The project is about our interaction with nature, we will celebrate, collaborate and craft! You can take you textile panel home or it can become part of the exhibition and go on display at the Scottish Maritime Museum Dumbarton as part of The Loving Earth Project exhibition!
We encourage people to come to two sessions so you can come back and show us how your textile panel is progressing!
